ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding ringing sound in right ear for last 2 months.

Here I would like to say that you are suffering from TINNITUS. This is a disease of internal ear and there is involvement of cochlea. This is indicative of inflammation or irritation of cochlea. It may be unilateral or bilateral (involving both ears). This is found in various ear diseases like-
1- Impacted wax in ear.
2- Acute / chronic otitis media.
3- Secretory otitis media.
4- Traumatic perforation of ear drum.
5- Diabetic ear.
6- Hypertension.
7- Tumor of acoustic nerve (Acoustic Neuroma)
8- Ideopathic (unknown cause).

If it is unilateral than ENT consultation is must to rule out the cause and than it should be manage accordingly. Till you are waiting for specialist you may take-

a- Caroverine / ginkobilova.

b- Methicobalamine.

Probably your query is answered.

Regards.
