Should I Continue Livolin Forte For High Bilirubin Levels?

Hi, I did a liver function test and it revealed I have high bilirubin. I’ve been placed in livoline forte for the past 2months but I still feel pain on my upper right abdomen, just below my right ribs. Should I keep taking livolin fort or see another doctor

Hello,

Since you are having pain in the upper right quadrant you are advised to get a repeat USG, liver done as it is indicative of hepatomegaly. Also, get repeat blood tests for bilirubin, Hb% and liver function tests done. The tests will help to assess the present condition of the liver, and elevated liver enzymes.

Yes, get clinically examined by a GP, do continue to take Livolin Forte. Take digestives and food that is easily digestible. Along with medicines, you will have to healthy eating habits, like take boiled food to help liver repair itself. Take lean meat cooked in olive oil. Avoid hot, spicy, oily, fried food. Stay away from junk food, full fat dairy products, red meat, etc.

You are advised to take well-cooked whole cereals, boiled papaya and veggies. fruits & berries. Avoid eating anything raw. Take PPIs, once daily for 7-10 days to get relieve from pain. Do regular walking and have 8-hour quality sleep at night for better liver recovery.
