Should I Get My Tailbone Checked For Pain Years After A Fall, And Is It Urgent?

Hi, i got bucked off my horse about 3 years ago and landed right on my butt. I never got my tailbone checked out to see if I fractured or bruised it. It is just now starting to hurt again when I sit and starts to sting a little when I touch that area. Should I get it checked and if so is it urgent?
