Should I Postpone Polyp Examination Due To My Periods?

I went for a routine cervical smear a couple of months ago, and a polip was visible. The nurse referred me to a hospital for further examination. The appointment is this afternoon and I am menstruating - 4th day. Should I go to the appointment or re-arrange it?

Hi!
welcome to HCM!
If possible re-arrange it. pelvic examination and Pap test should not be done during menstruation. It is best to have the exam in between 10 and 20 days after the first day of a menstrual period.Hope this helps!Take care!
