Should I See A Doctor For Pain And Fluid Discharge From The Toenail?

I lifted my big toenail up a little climbing out of the water. The waves pushed me against a cliff wall. It wasn't hurting that bad, but now it is leaking reddish fluid every once in a while and smells like dead fish. I haven't take my polish off the nail because I was afraid it would sting badly. Is this something I should see my doctor for?
