Should I Take Trazodone Closer To My Actual Bedtime Or Stick To My Current Pre-bedtime Routine?

Hello, I experienced a bout of ‘insomnia’ (just trouble falling asleep). I was able to, for lack of a better phrase, ‘move out of it’. The insomnia was from overthinking and undiagnosed anxiety. One night in March I realized that it was 3 am and I still hadn’t fallen asleep. Thus began the long days and nights I’d either get an average of 4 hours of sleep. I was put on different medications and what helped me fall asleep is trazodone. This week on Sunday, I had a headache that lasted until Tuesday/Wednesday. Monday I drank caffeine a little too late into the afternoon and just like that, 4 hours of sleep. I’ve been able to gradually sleep more with each night, last night I got about 6. It’s so strange because I’d eat sugary things a few hours before bed a few weeks ago (I know sugar and caffeine are very different), but I just miss when I was fine just taking a melatonin and being able to fall asleep and not worry about caffeine interfering with my sleep or anything like that, and just live a normal life. I go to bed at 10:30, 11:00 or 11:30 pm. I end up falling asleep at 2, 3 or 4 am. I wonder if it’s better for me to do quiet activities in and take my trazodone closer to the times I fall asleep, or if that would make things worse.
