Should I Take Emergency Contraceptive To Prevent Pregnancy?

hello doc i had unprotected sex on day 10 of my menstrual cycle which is of 28 days. Should i take emergency contraceptive to prevent pregnancy? Semen was ejaculated outside the vagina. I had undergone elective MTP last year. Does taking emergency contraceptive effect future fertility? Pls help me.

Hi,

If you don't want a baby now you can take a contraceptive, taking OCP's once only cannot cause infertility intact. There are very fewer chances of infertility, for next time I suggest you opt for non-hormonal contraceptives like condoms and rings.
