Should I Take Injection For Rh Factor During Pregnancy?
I am 27 years old and pregnant for the first time. My blood type is AB-ve and hence an ICT blood test was done during the first trimester. The results showed that the baby has RH-ve blood type. Now do I have to take any injections due to the RH factor of blood group?
Hi, Thanks for writing.. By ICT the baby's blood group wont be known.. To know the baby's blod group cord blood samplng need to be done.. ICT negative means it doesn't mean your baby is negative group.. It means you donot have antibodies against positive blood group.. yes, if you are sure your baby is negative blood group then you neednot take injection.. but if the blood group is unknown or positive, you need to take anti D injection.. Hope I have answered your query.. god day..
