Should I Use Salt Saline Water For Rinsing The Nose For Sinus Problem?

HI, I have a lot of sinus trouble and when I lived in Atlanta Ga my chiropractor that practiced AK and natural remedies had be rinseing my noise with Alkolol and it cleared my infection. Now I live in AL and I started rinseing again with it but how long can I rinse with it? Do i need to use the salt saline instead regular and just the Alkolol when it is infected
