Should I Visit The ER When My BP And Pulse Rate Are Elevated Apart From Having A Migraine?

My blood pressure has been ranging 140-168 systolic over 104-124 diastolic consistently for several days (probably longer, I just started monitoring it at home). Do I need to go to the emergency room? I have a migraine. I m breathing okay, pulse stays around 84-89 bpm.

Hello,

As your blood pressure reading has been high on various occasions on your home monitors, you need to consult a physician for the same. Pulse rate below 100 and above 60 is normal. So your pulse is normal. As you also have migraine, I would recommend tab. Atenolol 25mg once daily for hypertension. This tablet would help relieving migraine. You don't need to go to an ER but make an appointment with a physician.
