General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Monofeme is a combination of ethinyestradiol and levonorgestrel and,yes it prevents pregnancy if taken in a correct way.

It can also be used as emergency contraception, but you have to take more than one pill at a time to keep from getting pregnant. As you have already taken six pills so don't worry.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
