Should Provera Be Stopped In Case Of Excessive Vaginal Bleeding?

Hi, I started Provera on the 5th of June to induce my period. I started spotting on the 7th and heavy on the 8th. My doctor said to take it for 10 days, however I’ve been reading reviews about stopping if you start bleeding wjile on it. I’m confused, because I don’t remember my OBG telling me that! Should I stop taking them? I would ask my doctor but it is Saturday evening and Sundays the clinic is closed.
