Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Hypothyroidism may continue after pregnancy seen in conditions like postpartum thyroiditis or hashimoto's thyroiditis.
Until examination is done, it is difficult to say what it is. So it is better to continue drugs up to 6 months. Why because this postpartum thyroiditis may continue after delivery up to 4- 8 months.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
