Should Tazloc CT And LN Bloc Be Continued Post Regularizing High BP?

i AM 41 YRS OLD AND HAVE BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH HIGH BP 140/190. AFTER TAKING TAZLOC 40 WITH LN BLOC 5 FOR ONE WEEK, IT CAME DOWN TO 130/90 AND AFTER TWO MONTHS IT IS 120/80. I HAD DONE STRESS TEST AND IT SHOWED NO PROBLEMS. DO I HAV TO CONTINUE TAZLOC CT AND LN BLOC?

Hi,

Yes, these medications should be continued post regularization of high BP. If you stop or skip a dose of these medications your BP can rise to dangerous levels, putting you at risk for heart attack, stroke, heart failure and kidney failure. Take the prescribed BP lowering medications for high blood pressure for as long as required. Even if you are feeling fine, never cut back or quit taking the prescribed medications for even one day without consulting your doctor.
