Should A CT Scan Be Taken While Experiencing An Altered Sense Of Smell?

Hello. I have been experiencing a foul, musky moldy smell for past few weeks. Thought it was my house but no one else smelt it. I have smelt it other places too, like out in boat in middle of fresh air. Have had no recent sinus infections or upper respiratory issues. I have had an episode of losing vision in both eyes.. for 10 min. Only a small rectangle in the exact dam spot in both visual fields. Then it goes away. It has happened twice over last 6 months. Also, issues with remembering things.. my friends and I are in medical field, we joke about my neurological disorder. But in back of my mind, wondering if I need to get a CT. Thoughts? Thanks so much

Hi,

MRI will be the better choice. Consult a neurologist and get evaluated.
