Should A Cardiologist Be Consulted When Diagnosed With Califcation Of The Aorta In An Xray?
I was to the doctor this morning for a chest congestion and she took an xray an said you know you have califcation of the aorta. She said nothing can be done but watch the cholesterol. I am on meds for that and my last reading was below 100. Now should I see a heart doctor? Can she tell that from a reg. chest x-ray? I am 76 years old
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. You have calcification of the aorta, and your doctor says, she cant do any thing. But you should be care full about the function of the aorta, and the heart, with the calcification. I advise you to consult a cardiologist for diagnosis and treatment. Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts, and protein rich foods to hasten the recovery. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
