Should A Doctor Be Consulted For Throat Ache And Bad Taste In The Mouth?

Hi, I was very cold/shivering on Friday evening, after getting out of the shower I started to be sick, this went on all night, the next day and evening , it mainly happened every time I drank a little water. I also had a very high temp 39.2. during the Saturday Evening I was being sick a brown liquid came up and a migraine kicked in! I haven t been sick since, however I do have a horrible taste , my tummy feels tender and my throat hurts, should I go to my GP? Many thanks Victoria

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

From where brown liquid came?

You may be suffering from acute pharyngitis with sinus headache.

So avoid cool drinks and frozen water avoid smoking and caffeine drinks.

Use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days.

Use tablet Amoxiclav.

If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
