Should A Sprained Ankle With Swollen Legs And Numbness In Toes Be Professionally Checked Out?
Hi, I sprained my ankle a little over a week ago, both the inside and outside of my ankle is still swollen along with the top of my foot and Achilles.... Also I am experiencing numbness in my toes. Is this something I should get professionally checked out?
Hi, i do care for your concern. the history said by you suggest more of fracture rather than a ligament tear. the numbness present, strongly suggest of neuro-vascular compromise, which needs immediate intervention. i would advise To consult your orthopedician and get x-ray done to rule out fracture, and get intervention done as early as possible. Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
