Should A Week Be Allowed While Shifting From Suboxone To Methadone?

Hi. I ve been on methadone for 4+ yrs. My Dr has cut my dosage 3 x s in as many months, & I went to a different pain Doc on Fri. He wouldn t prescribe anything but Suboxone & surgery ( I got osteomyelitis in my spine during a revision lumbar fusion, & ended up almost dead 6 months later,8 procedures) & he referred me back to my reg. Dr. Now I can t get to him until Fri, & I have the Suboxone, but my Dr thinks you need a week before starting back on methadone. I did Suboxone for a month, & went right on to methadone . Please, I want to email this to him, Thanks!
