Should Abortion Be Considered Due To High Risk Of Preeclampsia?

I am in my 7th week of pregnancy and I have had 2 previous pregnancies before where i have had preeclamsia and had to have labor induced due to the high risk of having a seizure, I am afraid that this process will happen again as I am already swelling in my hands, feet and legs. I am wondering what the odds are that I will have the same risk or higher risk pregnancy and if aborting is something i should consider?

Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. With proper and early antenatal care, pregnancy induced hypertension can be controlled well and term pregnancy achieved. Though the risk of recurrence in a subsequent pregnancy is rare, given your history, caution must be exercised. Please see your obstetrician and get all parameters tested properly. If there is a hint of any complications recurring, your doctor may advice you regarding the need for an abortion. Hope your query has been clarified. Wish you good health.
