Should An ENT Be Visited To Remove Bugs From The Ears?

I just gave my 7 year old son a bath who has a slight case of autism and was cleaning out his ears with peroxide and a dead bug came out floating to the top of the ear canal. I put it in a plastic container. Do you think that is the only bug in his ear or should i take him to the er?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

There might be more bugs inside the ear. An otoscopic examination to visualize the inner parts of the ear. Consult an ENT specialist at the earliest for detailed evaluation. Do not insert any thing or do not pour home remedy to ear.

Wishing all the best.

Thanks.
