Should An Angioplasty Undergone Person Be Completely Under Rest?

Hello, My father has undergone angioplasty on 27th February. Doctor has told him for bed rest. Although he has taken monthly leave from office but still he is doing his office file work and discuss office related issues on mobile. We are worried that such things could develop stress for him. Is it fine doing such activities for his health, Please suggest. Thank you.

Hello,

I can understand ypur concern. Stess plays a major role in developing heart problems and their healing. As he has taken a monthly leave from his office, the purpose is to take a break from stressful work and have time to relax and heal. The heart needs little less work too which stress won't allow. Thus, it is adviaable that he actually takes a break from his job, not just physically and just focus on healing.

I hope this answer helps. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish your father feels better soon!

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
