Should Anosmia And Rhinitis In The Olfactory Cavity Be Treated Through Surgery?

i have anosmia and have tried the standard treatments including antibiotics, steroids, long term nasal washes with a netty pot including Flonase. ENT doc has done the scope and sees rhinitus up in that olfactory cavity. He wants to do a sinus procedure that I cannot name which presumably scrapes that area. Any idea of the success rate of this procedure?? I m 65 but should not be that much of a factor; pretty much lost sense of smell and taste over the last year

hello
i read your question and i understand your concern
infection in your upper nasal cavity beyond superior turbinate is affecting olfactory mucosa leading to anosmia. your doctor will do endoscopic guided wash and prescribe your probably injectable antibiotics, after a week of that, you will be symptom free
thanks
