Hi Dear,

Welcome to Health Care Magic Team.

Understanding your concern about health.

As you mention in your query that you have gingivitis ,it is basically inflammation of gums due to bacterial infection ,the most important cause of gingivitis is poor oral hygiene and accumulation of plaque .So oral hygiene is extremely important in case of gingivitis .

There can be other reasons also which are responsible for gingivitis like underlying diseases which makes immune system weak, hormonal changes and some medications use for conditions like high BP.So its important to look on these reasons also.

I would suggest you to brush(with proper brushing technique ) and floss your teeth regularly to prevent the accumulation of plaque ,avoid smoking if you have habit ,control diabetes if you have , use mouthwash containing chlorhexidine which is good anti bacterial mouth wash ,you can also do betadine gargles and warn saline rinses .If inflammation still persists you can rake antibiotics like doxycycline.

If your gingivitis is severe you should consult dentist who can performe procedures like scaling and root planing for removal of calculus .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
