Hello and welcome to HCM,
It is very unusual for a hernia to develop in the chest after lobectomy.
Hernia can develop on a previous surgical site.
However, lungs protruding from the surgical site is extremely uncommon.
However, I suggest you to consult your surgeon and undergo further investigations- CT or MRI to actually assess the condition of lungs and surrounding tissues.
If a hernia has developed to an extent to cause herniation of lung, a surgical correction is required.
Hernia increases in size with time and can cause complications if not corrected well in time.

Thanks and take care
