Should I Be Concerned About A Swollen Mosquito Bite Area?

My daughter was bit by a mosquito (we saw the insect) on her arm today. The bite area is very swollen, hot and the swollen area seems to lead up her arm along a vein. Should we be concerned or just simply treat it as we would a regular mosquito bite?

You should not worry about it if pain and itching is restricted to the affected area. But if she experiencess breathlessness, rash over other body parts, fever, etc you should consult your doctor immediately as it suggests systemic toxemia . You must use mosquito nets as much as possible.
