Should I Be Concerned About Normal Sinus Rhythm, Left Axis Deviation, Incomplete RBBB?
Hi, my name is Debbie and I m 61 years old. I went to my cardiologist today for a check-up. I have been short of breath for quite sometime, but he says that it is normal. I had a quad by-pass 3 years ago. Last week, I had some chest pains and had to take 2 nitro pills. My EKG today said normal sinus rhythm left axis deviation incomplete RBBB. Is that anything that I should be concerned about?
Your cardiologist has rightly suggested that findings are normal. Rhythm of sinus is normal and this is a normal finding.
Left axis deviation is also generally a benign finding. It is generally seen in chronic hypertensive patient, inferior myocardial infarction etc.It is generally a benign finding and underlying cause should be tried to control.
Incomplete right bundle branch block(RBBB) is also very commonly seen and can be considered a normal variant of QRS complex. It does not necessarily represent a serious heart condition.
Your symptoms may be due to some other reasons. It should be evaluated.
