Should I Be Concerned About Recurring Spotting In A Month After Periods?

I have been taking the birth control pill Alesse for almost 7 years now. I am on the 21 pack, and this month I got my regular period, and a few days later I started spotting. I have been spotting on and off for a month now. I have not forgotten any pills or changed anything. Why is this happening? I will stop taking pills in 5 days, and hopefully will get my regular period which usually lasts 5 days and then I am really hoping I will not have anymore spotting. Please advise!!

Hello,

Intermemstrual spotting can occur while on birth control pills. Continue the pills as scheduled and the spotting will eventually subside.

Hope this answers your query
