Should I Be Concerned About Swelling Of Feet In Pregnancy?

So I m almost nine months pregnant an my feet have been swelling quite a bit, but now that the swelling has gone down the tops of my feet are really sensitive. I mean my dog ran over my foot and i almost crie it hurt so bad. Should I be concerned or is this normal?

Swelling during pregnancy, especially when confined to your lower extremities is very common. It can be a sign of blood pressure problems so you should check with your doctor and make sure that this is not a concern. It is not unusual to have an increased sensitivity of the skin when it has been swollen and then the swelling goes away. This is not such a concerning sign, but remember to check with your doctor about your blood pressure and continue to keep your feet elevated.
