Should I Be Concerned About The Pain In Temple Followed By A Pimple And Dried Blood?

yesterday i had sharp but intermittent pain in my left temple for about 2hrs, i rested and drank a few glasses water slowly. today, no intense pain, but just found some dried blood and a pimple type sore at the same spot on my temple, is this harmless or an indication of something i should ask a local doctor?

Hi,

You may have scratched this pimple unknowingly causing the pain to be generated and the blood. If you would like to send a photograph of the area you are talking about I'd be happy to look at it.

However, as you've described the symptoms I wouldn't be terribly concerned about things unless the sharp pains became more frequent and unrelenting or you developed other vegetative symptoms such as nausea/vomiting, etc. But otherwise, keep the area of the pimple clean with regular soap and water and dry until it dries. I suspect all will be well.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dariush Saghafi, Neurologist
