HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
Palpitations (abnormalities in
heart rate or heart rhythm) can occur due to different reasons.
Normally a 'signal' arises from a specific point in the heart and travels along a specific pathway to stimulate the rest of the heart.
Palpitations can arise due to : (1) a signal arising at another point of the heart
(2) a change in the signal at the normal point
(3)blockage along the normal pathway
(4)if the 'signal' travels along another pathway
(5)any change in the structure of the heart
Anxiety can cause palpitations but other causes have to be ruled out first by ECG.
An ECG looks at the heart rate and rhythm , it can also show if there is any enlargement or likely blockage of blood vessels.
You may want to consult your doctor to have it done.
I hope this helps
