Should I Be Worried About Accidental Ingestion Of Chewing Gum?

I'm 35yo female. I was playing with my 4yo son and accidentally inhaled a piece of gum I was chewing. I'm pretty positive I didn't swallow it. Im not coughing and Im breathing fine, but I'm worried. I feel something in my esophogus and throat. Can I just wait it out and see what happens, or is this an emergency?

Hi

Welcome to HealthcareMagic forum

It is very unusual to be asymptomatic after inhaling a foreign body. Consider visiting ER at the earliest to confirm its not in the respiratory tract.
