Should I Be Worried About Anal Bleeding While Masturbating?
Was masterbating anal area using a dildo and then my finger (I m a woman), and noticed blood on my finger...I didn t get the dildo in very far as it hurt, even though well lubricated. But I continued to stimulate self with finger and it felt good, but noticed blood. I then wiped myself with a tissue and there was some blood on it. Should I be concerned? I m a healthy young woman, 40.

For post masturbation anal bleeding, you have to consider following possibilities:
1. Local trauma due to either dildo or your own nails. Please clip your nails short if you are masturbating with finger. You may opt for a smaller size dildo. Gradual insertion will cause less or no trauma. During insertion, please take deep breaths by open mouth. This will prevent the contraction of anal sphincters.
2. You may be having bleeding piles or fissure in ano. Rectal examination will reveal this.
3. Any other lesion like ulcer or growth in the ano-rectal area. You have to be very alert at and around 40 years of age.
I feel you should report to a surgeon and get rectal examination done. If needed you may go for colonoscopy. Depending upon the findings, the management may be planned.
