Should I Be Worried About My Fluid Level?

I am almost 42 weeks pregnant. I had a bpp today and received 8/8. I had a fluid level of 22. My baby is thought to be 10 pounds. I have not had any other u/s since my 20 week u/s. I am not diabetic. I am concerned about my fluid level. The midwife said not to be concerned since it is high and not low, but wouldn't either be a problem. I did not have an nst nor did she check my cervix. Should I be concerned and how concerned should I be?

Hi,

I read your query and I understand your concerns.

Following is my reply:

1) Diabetics have high amniotic fluid index.

2) If its normal dont worry about it.

3) More over it starts to increase after 28 weeks of pregnancy. So dont worry about it

Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Regards,
Dr. Mahesh Koregol
