Should I Be Worried About Nausea And Vomiting During Pregnancy?

Hi, I m sophia. My sister is 11 weeks pregnant and she is having severe kind of vomiting and nausea...she can t eat anything and is getting weak day by day? she won t agree to go to a hospital, bcz travelling makes her even more sick...and she herself has recently passed her MBBS so she says she knows that doctors aren t gonna be much help and that its gonna stop after this week. Is this serious?

Nausea & vomiting are normal signs of pregnancy. Sometimes, if it is too much medical help should be sought as this may be a sign of some pathology or even if there is nothing wrong, pregnant women need good nutrition to ensure a healthy pregnancy. So, your sister should see a Gynecologist. She should have an ultrasound pelvis, Liver function tests & thyroid function tests.
