Should I Be Worried About The Gray Bump On Back Of Left Thigh Which Hurts When Pressure Is Applied?

I am an active 33 year old male, 6' 2", 175 pounds. I have a gray bump on the back of my left thigh, just under my gluteus Maximus. It hurts when pressure is applied or squeezed. It is about the size of a pea. What should I do, and should I be concerned? It almost feels like a deep pimple.

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM

Seems to be a local bacterial infection of Hair follicle(folliculitis/furuncle).

If i was your treating doctor i would have asked you to apply a topical antibacterial ointment like 2% mupirocin twice daily

A week of oral antibiotics (penicillin group) is also advisable if the infection is deep seated.

An OTC painkiller like ibuprofen SOS will help you contain the pain.

take care
regards
