Should I Be Worried About The Head Rushes During Pregnancy?

Hi Dr. Meenakshi Sahu. I am 14 weeks pregnant and having a complication free pregnancy to this point. My next OB appointment is in 1 week. For the past 3 weeks I have been blacking out (my vision goes completely black and I feel very dizzy) every time I stand up. Is this normal? Something I should get in to be seen about sooner than my next OB appointment? Thanks!

Hello ma'am and welcome.

This could possibly be orthostatic or postural hypotension which is a change in blood pressure with change in posture and should be reported to your doctor at the earliest, instead of waiting for a week. Please do the needful.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
