Should I Be Worried About The Pain In Leg?

Last night I woke uptomy right leg feeling like it was electified but being tore apart. My husband had to rub the leg but it still hurts. I live on the REservation and am awaiting a TEE test in 2 weeks. The found a mass on my heart in the echo. Should we drive to the hospital?

Sorry to hear about trouble.
There are several masses that can be detected from a heart, all not necessarily giving rise to symptoms. One such mass could be an atrial myoma. This mass can occupy the left side of the heart and can impede the heart pumping. During this churning effect of high pressure blood(made more so by the presence of the mass) emboli or small particle of blood are showered from the heart down to all parts of the body. There is a chance the swelling on the leg could be a thrombus or an embolus. Other causes of swelling by the heart include an aneurysm. When a tear occurs in an aneurysm, this could again shower your legs with thrombi or emboli. Pain can be felt like a tear, as you had described.
