Should I Be Worried As My Son Is Having A White Bump In Eye After Conjunctivitis?

My 4 year old son has had conjunctivitis for a week and a half now on Cechlor/Cephalexin for ongoing coughing and to help clear the conjunctivitis as it did not respond much to his Novasporin eye drops. Now today I noticed he has a small white bump in the corner of one eye on the white part with red veins intense around it. As a mother I am very worried. Pls help.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The antibiotic eye drops are effective against bacterial conjunctivitis.
The infection must have cleared after use of the antibiotics.
Appearance of a white bump with prominent blood vessels can be a sequelae of the conjuctival infection.
You need to consult your ophthalmologist for repeat examination of the lesion.
If the lesion is big enough, it may have to be surgically removed.
It could be a granulation tissue with prominent blood vessels on the surface.
Thanks and take care
