Should I Be Worried Of Having TSH Of 12.84 And Pain In Throat And Gums?

Hello Doctor, Good Morning!!! Recently TSH test(CLIA method) was done for my father(age 65) and the report captures the value as 12.84. He is feeling pain on his throat and gums. Would like to know the current stage of his problem and the next steps

A high TSH level is indicative of hypothyroidism and must be further investigated. In any case the pain in the throat or the gums may not be related to the thyroid problem.
