Should I Be Worried Of Having An Amniotic Embolism?

Hi Im 31 weeks pregnant and 35 yrs old. I am terrified of having an amniotic embolism after reading about it on the internet.. I am having a girl but I have read its more common with carrying a male fetus. It is causing me a lot of anxiety...should I stop worrying about it so much?

Hi,
Amniotic embolism is an medical emergency. You cannot anticipate it. Dont worry about it. Its not something any one can do anything about . It can happen to anyone and in any pregnancy, just like bleeding. Stop worrying and look forward to a healthy delivery.
