Should I Be Worried Of Having Miscarriage Due To The Lower Abdominal And Back Pain During Pregnancy?
Hi, I am sandhya. I am pregnant of about only 5 weeks and I am suffering form lower abdominal pain since from the time of pregnancy. The pain is similar to menstrual pain and sometimes with that pain, I feel severe pain in the vagina. My doctor has instructed me to use gestofit 200 vaginally once a day for four weeks and I am using it since 3 days. Along with it, I am suffering from severe back and waist pain, I cannot lie on my back or sit down for a long time. I have a fear of bearing miscarriage. This is my first baby and we were trying to conceive since 9-10 months. It has been 2 and half years of my marriage. Please suggest me doctor, I am becoming emotionally very weak and facing a lot of tension regarding this matter. Waiting for your response
Hi, Thanks for consulting us. I can understand your concerns but this tension may prove counterproductive. Your pregnancy is at a very early stage, but, I think you should request your doctor to arrange one trans-vaginal ultrasound for you. This will assure that pregnancy is intrauterine & may be you can see fetal heartbeat. This may also help ease your tension. If all is well you may consult an Orthopedic doctor as your pains & inability to sit are more likely to be some musculo-skeletal problems. Best wishes.
