Should I Be Worried Of Swelling In Arm While Having High BP, Diabetes And Kidney Disease?

I am unofficial caregiver for my uncle who is 95 years and 10 months. Lately his blood pressure is through the roof... all the time. He has diabetes, he has kidney disease. For the past 3-5 days, he has swelling in his left arm, should I be alarmed?

HELLO,
Welcome to HCM
Since your uncle is having high BP, diabetes and kidney disease, definitely you need to take him to the physician as soon as possible because swelling may be infection of subcutaneous tissues called cellulitis.
Also any swelling can easily become infected in diabetics and it will not heal fast in them.
So,i would advice you to consult doctor at the earliest.
Thank you
