Should I Be Worried Of The Severe Pain In Eyes And What Are The Treatments?

A week ago I had a pain in my left eye for a whole day. It hurt, it caused my eye to water constantly and the pain was constant, like something painful is stuck in my eye. Now I have the same painful feeling in my other eye. I am a contact lens wearer and this has never happened before. Should I be concerned? What should I do to get rid of some pain?

Hello
It seems from the history that you have been wearing contact lenses and now you are having pain and watering of the eyes.
This can be because of either a simple corneal abrasion or because of corneal infiltration.
The first thing to be done is discontinue wearing of contact lenses till the symptoms subside and start using a antibiotic eye drop. If the symptoms does not clear you need to consult your eye doctor for examination to rule out corneal infiltration and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
