Should I Consult A Doctor As I Am Having Nose Bleeds And Headache?

Hello my name is amiira

I had cold 2 weeks ago but now i started getting nose bleed in my left side. It is nt actually bleeding just blood clot and at the same time it is bleeding i also get headach like the afternoon till i sleep i have never experienced this headach before it is just at the top like in the brain part that is where it hurts
It is serous do you think i should go to the Gp ??

Hi Dear ,

As per your query you have problem of nose bleeds and headache . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like Infection , trauma, including self-induced by nose picking , allergic and non-allergic rhinitis , hypertension , use of blood thinning medications. But in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are due to sinusitis . I would suggest you to take steam thrice a day , take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain and apply cold compresses to nose . Consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan , blood test and nasal endoscopy for nasal polyp . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics ( amoxicillin ) , decongestant and expectorant . Do nasal saline rinses .
