Should I Continue Regestrone 5 Mg?

Hi I am 30 years old, my periods are 20 days late with 3 negative home pregnancy tests. My doctor has advised me to take regestrone 5 mg twice a day. just wondering how will it effect. I have got some early pergnancy symptoms also but sometimes. Please suggest should i continue with this medecine?
