Should I Continue Taking The Medicine Or Should I Bear The Pain?

I had two teeth,(molars),extracted twelve days ago and still having discomfort.My dentist prescribed hydrocodon-aceamonophen,7.5 325 which I have been on as long as it lasted for a slipped disc since last April,5=500,which now because of potential liver damage the FDA recommends not prescribing.Could this be because of nerve damage or is this normal?Do you think that I should bear the pain or just continue taking the medicine.Thanks for any response.
