Should I Get The Swelling On The Checked?

last week i was running up my deck stairs and fell, I hit my knee really hard and it bruised right away and then it started to swell up, and now a week later it still is and it hurts really bad when i walk, it also has been poping out of place. Should i go get it checked out and would i need a brace or cruches?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
According to your history mentioned in the query it was a blunt injury ( hard but not too hard to get a fracture ) so there may be accumulation of synovial fluid ( due to contusion ).
When such patient visit in my clinic I advise them take aceclofenac 200 mg C R with serratiopeptidase 20 mg three times in day . I also advise them get complete rest for 7 days ( immobilization ) with ice pack massage ) .
If no relief then consult an orthopedic surgeon and get his opinion for teat of ligament ( meniscus in knee joint).
Since these medicine are a prescription medicine so please get an opinion of a doctor.
Good luck.
