Should I Go To The Doctor For A Pimple Like Bump With A Yellow Pus On My Buttcheek?

Hi! Today during school I have noticed on my right buttcheek- like a bump whenever I sit on one side of my buttcheek. Later on at home when i checked it seemed like a pimple with yellow pus on top! is this a boil? I am not quite sure. My mom tried to squeeze it like a pimple but it hurts. I do not know what to do. Please help! should i go to the doctors and get it checked?

Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
From your history and description, it seems that you have developed a boil or a furuncle.
It is an infection of your hair follicle and its surrounding tissue.
I would suggest that you take a course of oral antibiotics like cloxacillin or cephalexin for 5 days.
You could also apply an antibiotic cream containing 2% mupirocin or 1 % fusidic acid twice a day for 7 days.
Hot fomentationw ill also help to relieve the pain.
Hope this helps you.
Take care.
