Hello , Scuba diving is a sport which requires you to be in the best of health heart and brain wise to prevent any kind of Untoward calamity .
It depends on the type of arrythmia and how well controlled it is with medication to suggest whether Scuba is safe or not .
The reason why your doctor suggested against Diving ?
During most of the sustained arrythmis the blood pumped from the heart decreases transiently , this will decrease the blood flow to the brain resulting in a blackout like situation . So if it happens during diving , it can put your life at risk .
A evaluation of the Stress test report may helf me guide you more objectively . Till resolution of the arrythmia thing , its safer to avoid Scuba . Regards Dr. Mody
